Buenos Aires, 13 August 2014
The project manager of BELTRAIDE, a body dedicated to the promotion of companies and investments in Belize, joins this week representatives from more than 10 countries who will take part in an international course at the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) of Argentina.
The training of small entrepreneurs on issues, such as business planning, financial management and optimization of production circuits are some of the topics that will be addressed over the two weeks of the Course.
The Fourth edition of this Course is carried out with the support of the Argentine Fund for South-South and Triangular Cooperation (FO.AR) of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA).
Representatives of Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay will seek to increase their capacities to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in their countries, and thus foster a broader and more equitable productive and commercial integration.
Activities will aim at providing management tools to optimize resource use in SMEs, so that they reach their production, cost, and quality objectives.
The course, which takes place in the facilities of the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) in Migueletes, province of Buenos Aires, consists of three modules:
(a) introduction to production management;
(b) general theory of business management;
(c) production approach.
Each module develops in theory and practice the management tools to be taught.
Once the course is over, participants will have acquired knowledge in the implementation of management tools for production, certification of consultants in production management technologies and how to take forward policies to improve the productivity of the companies in his country. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the engine of the industry in these countries and are a great generator of jobs for its people.
This shows Argentine commitment to other countries as regards South-South and Triangular Cooperation, and sharing added value with a view to regional development.
The role of this Course within international cooperation and multilateralism promotes the same values that the country has been developing since 2003 in terms of inclusion, equality and social justice.
