Daniel Chuburu is the new Ambassador of Argentina to Belize

Belmopan, 5 June, 2017

This Monday, the Argentine Ambassador presented letter credentials to the Governor General of Belize, Sir Colville Young. Thus he became the new Representative of Argentina to Belize.

During the ceremony, Mr. Chuburu stated that one of the main policies of the Argentine Republic, which has been consistent over the years is to strengthen relations with the region. This involves not only Latin America, but also the Caribbean nations. He also said that in the case of Belize, this policy has started to bear its fruits. Thus, last year Argentina gave aid to Belize after Huricane Earl; over the last years many technical cooperation projects have been achieved; Belizean diplomats have studied at ISEN, the Argentine Diplomatic Academy, and Argentina has supported the participation of directors and tango dancers at BIFF (Belize International Film Festival) and its Dance Festival.

In this sense, the new Argentine Ambassador to Belize said that one of his main goals will be to strengthen the institutional framework of the bilateral relation and to this end agreements will be signed, that may foster cultural, economic and political relations.

The Governor General thanked Mr. Chuburu’s words and hoped for a stronger bond between two peoples that he said are brothers.
